1. On the plane ride out, Bailey poked me in the eye with her bottle and cut my cornea. We spent most of Sunday morning running around to the insta-care and Walgreens to pick up my prescription. The tear was right over my pupil, so it was very hard to see for the first 3 days. By Wednesday, I was able to keep my eye open, though it was still a little blurry.
2. The weather was fantastic. Usually it hovered around the upper 70's and the humidity wasn't too bad. It rained a couple of nights after we were back at the resort.
3. We had breakfast with the princesses in Epcot on Wednesday. The girls had a blast and loved the individual attention they received.
4. The lines weren't too bad, though on Saturday (our last day in the parks), the wait for some rides was over 2 hours. It took us an hour to get from the resort into Magic Kingdom.
5. Bailey enjoyed playing on several playgrounds in the various parks. Epcot had the most geared towards her sized kids.
6. The tutu that Erin made for Bailey was absolutely adorable. I had a lot of people stop me and ask me where I got it. I should have taken business cards!!!
7. On Thursday we went to Cocoa Beach. It rained off and on, but we didn't care too much since we were playing in the surf. We visited Ron John's surf shop as well. We also found out that Aaron's dad went into a diabetic coma that morning and was rushed to the hospital. No one knew he had diabetes. We are grateful he hung in there long enough to get to the hospital and figure out what was going on. He is now taking insulin shots and has given up drinking Coke.
8. Sunday, we checked out of our resort and spent the afternoon at Disney Quest, which is a 5 story arcade at Downtown Disney. The kids had a blast to say the least.
The pictures below tell the rest of the story:
This is the pool outside our resort building. There were 5 or so buildings with at least 4 pools. Some had lazy rivers, like this one, and others had water slides. This was taken on Sunday, our first day there. I was resting in the shade keeping my eyes closed most of the time, trying to let my eye heal.
This was also taken at the pool. She looked so cute in her swimsuit, I couldn't resist.
At the front of Animal Kingdom.
This was taken in Animal Kingdom. We went here on Tuesday and there were very few people, so lines were minimal. This ride was a roller coaster, but the cars also twirled, like the teacups.
Aurora was the second princess we met. on our way in to breakfast, we had pictures with Belle. They didn't turn out well, so I didn't include them.
The kids with Cinderella. Each princess did a good job playing their part.
Snow White wasn't quite what we expected, but she was very nice and had a great high voice, just like the movie.
Ariel was our favorite.
This is a great shot of Bailey in her tutu. This was taken in the fairy garden based on the Tinkerbell fairy movies that have been released recently. Right next to this was a butterfly garden and the Princess and the Frog garden. While Bailey and I were walking around here, a butterfly landed on Bailey's head. I couldn't get the camera out fast enough!!!
This is the German town in Epcot where we ate dinner. It was a buffet of all German food. Our waitress was from Germany and loved the fact that Gretchen's name was German. Great food, fun band and Aaron even danced the Chicken Dance with the girls!!
Also at Epcot, we ran into Winnie the Pooh and Tigger in Great Britain. There were lots of other characters we met but I'll put those in another post.
