j.wride video

Must be YouTube day or something....

Shelby still keeps in touch with her friend who lived next door to us in our Pleasant Grove house. Her older brother, Jessie Wride, has a band called j.wride and were recently featured on Park City TV. I understand they have also won several local Battle of the Bands and are working on an album. They have 4 videos on YouTube, but thought I'd help advertise their band and post a link to one of them. Jessie is the piano player and he is awesome. The whole family is very talented for that matter... Anyway, hope you enjoy.

Cool Jon Schmidt song / video

In reading KSL this morning, I came across this video of a new song that Jon Schmidt created by combining Love Story by Taylor Swift and Viva La Vida from Coldplay. It was pretty cool. I thought I'd post it here, in case anyone wanted to listen to it. (no vocals, just piano and cello/drum)

I have to vent

I feel the need to vent about the lack of bathroom etiquette in my office. Here are the issues that REALLY bother me:

1. There are 6 stalls in the bathroom. Why must you choose the one right next to me when all the others are free????? This happened twice today!

2. Please leave your cell phone conversations for the hallway or conference rooms. I really don't want to hear what you did last night.

3. WASH YOUR HANDS!!!! Some of the ladies I work with and I keep track of those in the office that don't wash their hands, so we can avoid eating anything they have cooked for office parties.

4. Make sure the toilet flushed properly before you leave the stall.

All better and American Idol

Wow drugs are great. I can't believe how much better I feel. Can't say the same for Bailey and Gretchen, who now have a stomach virus. Poor kids!

So, I am not very happy about Danny being kicked off AI this week. Of course, I never vote, so I can't really complain, but it is still really sad. I will also go on record as saying that I wouldn't buy a record made by Adam. I can't stand his screaming! At the beginning of his rendition of "One" by U2, I had high hopes that he would sing normally for once. I was disappointed when he added in the screaming high notes and I think he ruined the song. Oh well. Just my opinion.

Pneumonia and Sinus Infections

Just wanted to let everyone know that I was diagnosed with pneumonia on Tuesday. They gave me a horrible shot in my hip and put me on some pills that have a side effect list as long as 2 pieces of paper. In reading more about this drug, I found out it is used sometimes for anthrax victims. Nice, huh?

Other than the occasional nightmare and being out of breath all the time, I'm doing pretty well. Every one has helped out a lot. Thanks Jody for the yummy dinner last night! We really appreciate it!

Shelby has been suffering with a chest cold for almost 3 weeks, so we took her to the doctor on Wednesday and she has a sinus infection. Now we're both on meds. My family is almost never sick. Must be the quick change in seasons.
