Shelby 4-eyes!

Shelby is thrilled to finally get glasses. She and I were walking around the block about a month ago and she couldn't read some of the street signs that I could. So, I made an appointment for both of us to have our eyes checked. My eyes were great, though the Dr said I might need reading glasses in 5-10 years, but Shelby definitely needed glasses.

We looked all over for some cute frames and ended up finding adorable ones at Costco. She was pretty bummed to hear that she had to wait 2 weeks to get them back. But, lucky for her, it only took a week. Shelby couldn't stop looking in the mirror the first day and was really happy that all the kids at school noticed. She really does look cute.

A day at the pool

I took the girls to the Lehi Legacy center to swim on Saturday afternoon. I forgot to buy swim diapers, so Bailey and I hung out on the side and watched. The girls had a blast and I thought I'd include a couple pictures.

Bailey making noise / talking

I am not sure if this is going to work. Gretchen was recording first and then I grab the camera, so I apologize for the jumpy filming.

First rice cereal

I fed Bailey her first full meal of rice cereal. She did really well. Shelby helped me take a few photos during the process. I'll post a few down below.

As expected, she got it all over her face, but there were a few times when she actually swallowed the cereal before sticking her tongue out.

I tried a few days ago and it didn't work out very well. Most likely she was too hungry.

This was taken after she was all done.

This was taken in the middle. She always looks like a deer in headlights when we take her picture. One of these days we'll get a good shot of her without her eyes so huge. :-)

Gretchen decorates the baby

Gretchen went to a fun birthday party on Saturday and part of her take home bag was a page of circle stickers. While I was in the kitchen on Sunday doing dishes, Gretchen decided to decorate Bailey with some of the stickers. I thought it was too cute, so I took some pictures. She went most of the day with the stickers on her head and didn't like it when we took them off.

A couple more Bailey pictures

Bailey is almost 4 months old. She is starting to sleep a little more at night and is trying to talk. She babbles a lot in the mornings. She changes so much every day so I am trying to take a lot of pictures. Here are some updated ones.

I tried to get a few with her smiling, because she does that so much these days, but my camera always seemed to take too long to snap the picture and the red-eye reduction feature always made her stare wide-eyed at the camera.

Oh well!

Aaron's fishing trip pics

I finally took the time to copy some of Aaron's fishing pictures so I could post them here. These are from the trip to New Zealand in January and February this year.

Pay close attention to the crystal clear water and how pretty these brown trout are. He fished a different river each day and had a total blast. The fish fought really well and even though he only caught a few each day, the few he caught were worth it!

This is Rich, Aaron's friend from UPS that went on the trip with him.

I believe this is Aaron's fishing guide.

Bad Dog - I mean anyone want a free dog??

Ashes, the family dog had a bad weekend. Bad enough that we are considering moving her to an outside kennel.

I walked into the office on Sunday morning to find Aaron's new dress shoe, Gretchen's boot, Bailey's boot, Gretchen's homework and Bailey's headband, all chewed up on the floor. Along with that, some items from the garbage and a sock.

This isn't the first time she has done this. The reason Aaron's dress shoes are new, is because she did the same thing to his last pair. She has eaten 4-5 pairs of Gretchen's shoes and a few of Shelby's and mine. She has even chewed on our desk and the baseboard in the office.

We have tried so many things to get her to understand that chewing is bad, but she doesn't get it. So, if anyone knows a family looking for a cute, lovable dog, let us know!

:-)
